Born 1964 in Kandern (Baden-Württemberg); 1995 Dr. phil. in Medieval and Modern History (Univ. Kiel). Senior-Doc Reseacher at the Institute for Medieval Studies, Austrian Academy of Science, Division Editionsunternehmen und Quellenforschung/ MIR. My research of the last years is mainly focused on the Order of the Golden Fleece in the late Middle Ages, including the publication of numerous papers and scholarly editions of their record books of the years 1431-1496 (Volume 4 just published). My studies highlight the formation of elite groups of the nobility and the urban patricians and their public representation.
